An outstanding crew, eclectic and literate.

Whip smart and fun, too.  Seriously, we've put together a world-class staff that represents the heart and soul of the Academy, each well-respected in their individual fields of endeavor–dedicated, experienced, and committed – who together make up a cohesive whole that's slightly bigger and way better than the sum of its individual parts.

TIMOTHY CATALDO

Headmaster and Founder

He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Tufts University, having also studied at the United States Military Academy and La Sorbonne in Paris. He had a successful career as a journalist and copywriter around the world, before dedicating 21 years to be a stay-at-home dad (and basketball coach) of three who are now all grown. Finally...

After years spent teaching English in Japan, lecturing at Housatonic Community College, and a recent stint in the trenches of the Newport Public Schools, Timothy's seen first hand the challenges and difficulties facing the education system today. Which is why he decided to go back to basics and found the Old's Cool Academy.

For the past 3 years he's seen the transformative power the Academy has had on his six (so far) students in terms of their self-confidence and positive and fearless embrace of life and its welcome difficulties and responsibilities.

Their parents couldn't be more proud or thankful.

Advisors to die for

In addition to our outstanding Board of Directors, we have put together an excellent team of experienced professionals, valued and reliable advisors who will guarantee the Academy's long-term success and continued influence and relevance.

Briefly:

Tom Cataldo, a trusted uncle growing up, and still an invaluable coach, father-figure, champion of all our endeavors, no matter how crazy, and best friend.

Chris Baudoin, is a long-time financial advisor to us and our various entrepreneurial endeavors, who's stuck with us through thick and thin, always offering sober and sane advice.

Another huge influence in our life, especially when we got into trouble, which we did, is our rock-solid legal counsel extraordinaire, Lenny Isaac.

And last but not least, there's nothing boring about the the numbers always adding up, and we have our unflappable accountant, Joel Pleban, CPA, to thank for that.
